Solid Wetsuit

I’ve had several of these and I rotate them for surfs to make them last a bit longer. I’ve had one for about two years and it still holds up well for california temperatures. It isn’t sealing as well as it used too but is still warm and more flexible from being broken in. The newest one I have is super warm and the price and quality are way better than other brands. Most other brands lower tier wetsuits at a similar price are maybe half as warm and have weird design features. This 4/3 is no fuss and has all the seems in the right places. Never had problems with the zipper or other elements.

Consistent quality

This is my third Need Essentials wetsuit. Got a 4/3 some six years ago and it held up until this year with expected wear and tear. The 3/2 is about 3 years old and looks like it's got another season or two in it.

The feel of this latest suit matches what I experienced with my first one, warm, comfortable, no frills. The rubber is a bit more stiff than what you get from mainstream brands and you do notice it in the water, at least in the first few sessions it takes more effort to paddle. I'd say this is the expected trade off between durability and flexibility, can't have both.

Fingers crossed for the lifespan of the suit to keep up with the others!

Quality and warmth for the price

I’ve had this suit for about half a winter season so far and I have been putting it to the test. Had multiple 6+hour session in it. I’m impressed with how warm it is, still keeping me warm after many hours in it. Great quality for the price, the neoprene is soft and very stretchy. I find that it dries decently quick, not as fast as some of my other suits. My only complaint is it is a little tight around the wrist openings and neck. I’m noticing some slight fraying of the material around the wrist but nothing that will affect performance. All in all a great suit for the price.
